Tatsu no Chimei Katana
Description:
Born from the shadows and the fire of Japanese forges, the Tatsu no Chimei Katana asserts its presence with an almost mystical aura. Its deep black finish, reminiscent of the darkest night, contrasts with the golden dragons adorning the scabbard — creatures symbolising strength, wisdom, and celestial power. The dragon-shaped tsuba appears to guard the blade, a Damascus steel masterpiece with flowing reflections, forged according to the purest Japanese traditions. This sword embodies the balance between darkness and light, destined for proud and fearless souls.
Full Tang: blade runs through the entire handle for perfect strength

Frequently asked questions
Your katana is carefully wrapped and protected. If selected, a certificate of authenticity (+$5 USD) is included. Every katana order also comes with a complimentary Japanese fabric carrying bag (a $15 USD value). You can add a stand, cleaning kit, or premium storage box to complete your collection.
Each katana is made after you place your order. We do not keep finished katanas in stock. Once your order is confirmed, our artisans begin forging your sword using traditional Japanese techniques, with attention to detail and quality control.
After production, our swords ship from Asia. This made-to-order process means you receive a newly crafted blade rather than a sword kept in storage.
Production normally takes 3 to 10 days after order confirmation. Once shipped, delivery generally takes 5 to 15 days, depending on the carrier and destination.
These are estimates. If we cannot ship within the promised period, we will contact you about the delay and the available cancellation and refund options.
We generally ship with UPS. If that service is unavailable for an order, we use our alternative shipping partner, SF Express. Tracking information is provided after dispatch.
Our team takes great care with the shipping process to minimize the risk of customs fees. In the vast majority of cases, our customers do not have any additional charges to pay. Each package is carefully prepared and labeled in close coordination with our logistics partners.
In rare cases, however, customs authorities may impose import charges in accordance with your country’s regulations. These charges are then the buyer’s responsibility, as stated in our disclaimer.
An ordinary katana can generally be purchased for a lawful collection, but the rules depend on your state, city, circumstances, and the sword itself. Our store sells swords only to adults aged 18 or older.
Ownership does not automatically permit public carry. Check the applicable rules, keep the sword securely stored, and transport it sheathed in a protective case when permitted.
An exceptional katana, worthy of a Japanese artisan
As a collector and Iaido practitioner for several years, I am extremely demanding when it comes to the quality of a katana. This one far exceeds my expectations. I’ve tested several katanas in my life, but this one stands out for its authenticity and attention to detail. I recommend it without hesitation!

A faithful and heavy replica
I wanted a faithful replica, and I’m not disappointed. The blade is remarkably close to the original, and above all... it has weight, which proves it’s not just a simple plastic toy!

Gift for my children
I bought two Rengoku katanas for my kids because they really love Demon Slayer. I was quite upset because delivery took longer than expected (17 days). However, they arrived and were perfect. My children also loved their gift!

The quality is there
The swords are very sharp and absolutely gorgeous! In the long run, these blades are really solid as long as you take good care of them, and I recommend them to everyone. I would definitely buy from this shop again

Christmas gift was a hit :)
I gave this katana to my brother for Christmas and he loved it! Before ordering, I had some questions about quality and maintenance, and customer service was super responsive and clear in their answers. I also added the engraving option with his name, and the result is incredible!

Order mistake, but good customer service
When I received my package, I was very disappointed: it wasn’t the katana I had ordered... Fortunately, customer service was super quick to respond and sent me the correct model right away, letting me keep the other one. That was a nice goodwill gesture, but the mistake was still annoying. I’m giving 3 stars for a mixed experience.

A great purchase!
As an Elden Ring fan, I absolutely wanted a replica of the Moonveil katana, and wow… it’s HUGE! The finish is incredible; you instantly feel it’s a real blade and not just a decorative piece. The packaging was super careful, no scratches or defects upon arrival. I was a bit worried about customs fees, but in the end I didn’t have to pay anything.

Slight issue with delivery
I had to pick it up at a nearby UPS location. Not a big deal, but a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, no complaints — the sword is superb

A beautiful item for enthusiasts
The blade arrives well protected and oiled. However, it’s definitely something to keep out of children’s reach, because even if it’s for display, it’s still a real sword.

Hand-forged katana
Discover our katanas, hand-forged by artisans in Asia using traditional Japanese-inspired methods. Each blade is carefully worked and finished to create a distinctive sword.
Personalized blade
Add a personal detail to your katana with our engraving service. Our artisans can engrave your chosen text on the blade for a precise and lasting result.
Compare steel types to help choose your sword:
intended use, composition, edge performance, and craftsmanship.
Important : our katanas use traditional Japanese-inspired construction and full tangs, with sharpening options depending on the model. Steel, heat treatment, and blade geometry all influence strength and cutting performance.
Tip: use the categories to show the blades that interest you.
Manganese steel
Manganese steel
Category: DisplayCare: Simple
CompositionManganese-rich alloy steel, valued for toughness and wear resistance.
UseDisplay, artistic poses, and non-contact demonstrations.
Manganese steel is used in accessible swords with a strong visual identity. These models can suit a collection or display. Suitability for training depends on the individual blade and its heat treatment, so check the stated intended use. Carbon and alloy steels still require appropriate cleaning and protection against corrosion.
At a glance: an accessible choice for display and an introduction to Japanese-style swords; check the individual model before using it for practice.
1060 steel
1060 steel
Categories: Display, CuttingBalanced rigidity and flexibility
CompositionCarbon steel with approximately 0.60% carbon.
UseSupervised practice and cutting suitable light targets.
1060 carbon steel is a practical option for many modern Japanese-style swords. With suitable heat treatment and geometry, it can balance edge performance with resilience. For practice, choose a model designed for that purpose and follow qualified instruction.
At a glance: a durable option for introductory cutting practice and regular supervised training.
CompositionHigh-carbon tool steel with approximately 1% carbon.
UseExperienced, supervised practice with suitable targets.
T10 is a high-carbon tool steel often chosen for edge retention. Differential hardening can produce a visible hamon while leaving different parts of the blade with different hardness. The finished blade’s quality depends on its forging, heat treatment, geometry, and polishing.
At a glance: a popular choice combining cutting performance, edge retention, and the visual appeal of a hamon.
Damascus steel
Damascus steel
Category: DisplayDistinctive flowing patterns
CompositionFolded layers reveal patterns reminiscent of waves, rain, or wood grain.
UseCollecting, demonstrations, and occasional light cutting when the model is suitable.
Damascus steel is valued for the patterns revealed by working layers of steel. Each blade has a distinctive appearance. Pattern alone does not determine performance: the materials, heat treatment, and construction remain essential. It is a popular choice for a visually striking collection.
At a glance: a distinctive blade chosen primarily for its appearance and collection value.
San-Mai steel (3 layers)
San-Mai steel (3 layers)
Categories: Cutting, PrestigePerformance and flexibility
CompositionA hard cutting core supported by softer outer layers.
UseExperienced practice and a refined traditional finish.
San-Mai construction places a harder core between softer outer layers. This approach can combine a cutting edge with a resilient supporting structure. Its effectiveness depends on the quality of the material selection, welding, heat treatment, and final blade geometry.
At a glance: a construction that combines cutting performance, resilience, and traditional aesthetics.
CompositionSteel produced from iron sand in a tatara furnace, then sorted and refined by hand.
UseCollecting and ceremonial display; performance depends on the individual blade and its forging.
Tamahagane is associated with traditional Japanese swordmaking. The smith selects and works the material through demanding forging and refining stages. Collectors value the resulting surface character, workmanship, and relationship to a long craft tradition.
At a glance: an expression of traditional swordmaking, valued for its craftsmanship and beauty.
