Description

The tsuba of this ancestral katana is decorated with a dragon motif — the defining feature of this otherwise classic Japanese sword. Its blue blade is hand-forged after a traditional clay tempering process that has been used for centuries. A long and meticulous polishing is then carried out by a master togishi, a specialist in sword-blade polishing. The blade steel contains a high proportion of manganese to provide excellent strength and durability.

The dragon is a very common motif in Japan, symbolising strength and courage. This legendary creature is considered the guardian of the gods of the sky. It is often benevolent and seen as a sign of good fortune — all the more reason to feature it on the weapon of a valiant samurai.

Give your katana a personal touch with our customization service! Our expert craftsmen can engrave a text of your choice on the blade, ensuring precise, long-lasting personalization.

The package includes the katana(s), carefully packed. Additionally, a Japanese fabric bag worth $15 is offered with each katana order. You also have the option to add accessories such as a stand, a certificate of authenticity, a cleaning kit, or a premium storage box to enhance your collection.

Each katana is crafted only after your order is placed. We never produce in advance and we do not keep pre-made katanas in stock. As soon as your order is confirmed, our craftsmen begin forging your katana specifically for you. Every piece is hand-forged in accordance with traditional Japanese techniques, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and strict quality control at every stage.

By not storing our katanas, we preserve the purity of the materials, prevent oxidation caused by long-term storage, and ensure that you receive a freshly forged, authentic, and truly unique katana. Once completed, the katanas are shipped from China, allowing us to offer the best balance between delivery speed and cost efficiency.

Each katana offered on our store is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail. Preparation times vary depending on the complexity of the model and the availability of the necessary materials. Once the order is confirmed, the estimated processing time is typically between 3 to 10 days.

As for delivery, it depends on several factors, including the chosen shipping carrier, potential customs inspections (due to the nature of our products), and the final destination. Generally, the delivery timeframe ranges from 5 to 15 days after shipment.

However, we want to highlight that exceptional circumstances, such as logistical delays or peak periods, may extend these timeframes. While we do our best to ensure fast and efficient delivery, it is not possible for us to provide a precise delivery date.

Due to the unique nature of our katanas, we use specialized shipping methods to ensure fast and secure delivery while minimizing the risk of customs delays. Generally, we ship via UPS, known for its reliability. If this shipping method is not available, we rely on our secondary partner, SF Express, to ensure your order is delivered under the best possible conditions.

We take every precaution during the shipping process to help prevent customs fees. In nearly all cases, our customers receive their orders without any extra charges. Our logistics team works hand in hand with trusted partners to ensure that every shipment is properly documented and packaged to avoid delays or additional costs.

While extremely rare, customs authorities in some countries may impose import duties depending on local regulations. If this happens, please be aware that such charges are the responsibility of the buyer, as outlined in our Disclaimer.

No, buying a katana is not illegal in the United States, but it is subject to certain rules. At the federal level, there is no law prohibiting the ownership of a katana, and it is legal in all 50 states. Purchase and possession are allowed for adults 18 and older, and an adult signature is generally required upon delivery.

You can freely display your katana at home, use it for supervised martial arts practice, or keep it as a collector's or display piece. However, carrying a katana in public is regulated and varies significantly from state to state. States like California and New York have stricter rules, while others such as Texas are more permissive. Transport should always be done with the sword sheathed and stored in a secure, non-accessible case — ideally in the trunk of your vehicle — to avoid any issues with law enforcement.
